Pokémon Invades Enforex Camps

Pokémon Invades Enforex Camps

If we were to ask you guys what’s the game of the year, the game that everyone is talking about, and that many of you are probably already hooked on, we have no doubt that you’d all shout in unison “Pokémon Go!

The frenzy caused by Pokémon has been so intense that in many countries, there have been problems due to distracted players wandering into prohibited areas to catch Pokémon.  But we don’t want to talk about what you already know; today we want to talk about how the Pokémon (is it Pokémon or Pokémons?) have arrived at Enforex Camps and they’re here to stay.

But let’s start from the beginning: What is Pokémon Go?

Because it’s possible that there’s still someone out there who has no idea what we’re talking about, we’ll begin with the most basic: What is a Pokémon? The word Pokémon is short for “Pocket Monster”; in its contracted form it became the combination “Poké” + “Mon”. They’re little creatures originally born into a video game, but they became world famous in 1996 when they became the main characters of a TV series that was exported to many different countries.

This is when the Pokémon fever emerged… but why is it back now? It all began in 2013 on April Fool’s Day, when Google released some maps where users could find these funny creatures. The “prank” was so successful that they decided to move the idea to a mobile app game called Pokémon Go.

And what does this have to do with Enforex Camps?

But let’s get to what we’re really here to talk about, the summer camps.   It all began one July afternoon when we received some strange images from Enforex Camps Salamanca, in which our intrepid campers made these costumes for an activity. Imagine our surprise to discover that our campers weren’t dressing up as superheroes or movie characters… they were dressing up as Pokémon!

But that wasn’t the end of it: the next day it was the campers at Enforex Camps Marbella Alemán who sent us a group photo. Yet again, we were surprised to see everyone dressed up as Pokémon Trainers.

But the moment we were really left us speechless was when we received a video that we’ve decided to call the Pokémon Go Games…you have to see it for yourself to understand.

Using Pokémon Go to discover new destinations

Many believe that Pokémon Go is a just another game, but the truth is that it can be used to discover new places since Poké Stops are located at monuments or important local places  (oftentimes less-frequented spots that won’t appear in the travel guides, perfect for a special photo shoot). Not only are you exploring a new place, you can even catch a Pokémon while you’re there! How does catching a Pikachu at Puerto Banús sound to you? Or finding a Legendary Pokémon by chance on Barcelona’s La Rambla?

Now that you’re all caught up with those who already know and love the game, you can see that the Pokémon fever has come to our camps, and all we have to say is “Gotta Catch ‘Em All!”
